In his illustrious career, the singer had successfully turned the voice behind many popular Bollywood actors like Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and others. But, there was one actor who was devoid of this magical playback voice (for some time). And it was none other than actor Mithun Chakraborty.

It was in the late 70s when Kishore Kumar had married actress Yogeeta Bali in 1976 (his third wife) after the demise of his second wife, actress Madhubala in 1969. But, it was heard that Yogeeta had started dating Mithun after they met on the sets of film ‘Khwab’ (1980). It is said that Yogeeta, who was in love with Mithun, decided to leave Kishore Kumar for him.
